MOVIE VIEWS

I started writing this blog with no formal training and my appreciations on films were from a layman’s perspective. Like many others, I did see the films as an entertainment medium and shared my likes and dislikes out rightly, even if I was aware that, film making was hard work and collective effort. I even went to the extend of thinking, its my right as a consumer to demand satisfaction from watching a film. I used to think it was the responsibility of the makers to make a quality product, else I would trash it like any normal viewer.

I realized how wrong I was, after my 100 hour online course - Named ‘Alocana’- Role of Critics in World Cinema, at Film and Television Institute of India, Pune under the tutelage of Mrs. Rajula Shah and Mr. Mukul Haloi. My perspective changed completely and I started appreciating the films from the maker’s perspective.

My horizon expanded to global and classic films. I am loving this zone and want to share my joy with you.

Happy reading and Happy watching.
